Students can take other courses in addition to their Spanish studies, such as flamenco, salsa, Spanish cooking, Hispanic culture, Spanish history, Pedro Almodovar’s movies and golf. Please note that while these courses may be booked through the school, other companies or organisations may arrange them.

The Costa del Sol also offers an ample variety of possibilities to practice sports:

Scuba diving

The Costa del Sol is famous for its good weather and beautiful beaches. These two elements together make Scuba Diving on the Costa del Sol a very interesting and popular way to enjoy the amazing variety of plants and sea animals that inhabit the Mediterranean.

Horde riding on the beach

Horse Riding Beach

Every Saturday and Sunday it is possible to go horseback riding on the beach. A minimum of 2 participants is required and the maximum is 4. You leave at 10.00 o’clock from Plaza del Obispo. You will have two hours of horseback riding along the beach and you will be back in Malaga around 15.00 o’clock. The horse riding will take place in Almayate, which is close to Torre del Mar.

Have you ever dreamed about horseback riding in the Andalusian mountains? This is your chance! Combine sports and nature and enjoy Andalusia to the fullest. Only 20 minutes away from Malaga we find Cártama, a little village in a beautiful natural setting around the Rio Grande. Do not worry if it is your first time, since the horses are prepared for any level of rider. Enjoy a two hours ride; watching the hills, citrus groves, eucalyptus forests and of course the Rio Grande.

Although the Costa del Sol and Málaga are mostly famous for their beaches they also offer a totally different type of scenery: mountains. These mountains are very close to the beach and very often have great views over the Mediterranean. They are the perfect location for hiking and enjoying a beautiful day outdoors.

As you have read before the landscape of the Costa del Sol is diverse and always leaves new things to discover. The perfect way to enjoy the mountains, the beaches and the perfect weather is by bike.

Golf

About 70 golf courses all together can found In Málaga and the Costa del Sol. Combine this with the perfect weather and you have found the perfect location to enjoy a nice afternoon of golf or to even take lessons and improve your golfing skills.

Malaga’s sport teams

If you are visiting the city and also like sports you could also see a football match as well as a basketball game since the city’s teams (Málaga Club de Fútbol and Unicaja Baloncesto) are playing in the first division of football and in the ACB league and Euroleague in basketball.

Salsa

Salsa

Salsa is a modern ballroom dance from Latin America, which is danced in pairs or in groups. Although many years different countries claimed salsa, it is created in Havana during the second half of the fifties of last century, and it is recently been spread out over the rest of the world. It is a mixture of mambo, cha-cha and a Cuban response to the rock ’n roll of the fifties.
