La elaboración del calendario cultural se ha convertido en una tradición en nuestra escuela. Durante los meses de noviembre o diciembre, según los casos, el equipo académico organiza esta actividad haciendo participar en ella a alumnos de varios grupos y niveles, que realizan un trabajo colaborativo muy enriquecedor no sólo para ellos (que descubren muchas cosas sobre la cultura española), sino también para los profesores (que aprenden mucho de la imagen y los tópicos de España en el extranjero) y la escuela (en la que se crea un gran ambiente de aprendizaje informal).

En 2008 comenzamos esta aventura con un grupo de chicas -Melanie (Holanda), Tilde, Linda, Nathalie (Suecia) e Ingrid (Sudáfrica)- que se fotografiaron representando las fiestas y tradiciones españolas: el día de Reyes (enero), el Carnaval (febrero), la Semana Santa de Málaga (marzo), la Feria de Sevilla (abril), el Día del Trabajo (mayo), la noche de San Juan (junio), los Sanfermines de Pamplona (julio), la Tomatina de Buñol (agosto), la vuelta al cole (septiembre), el Día de la Hispanidad (octubre), el día de Todos los Santos (noviembre) y la Navidad (diciembre).

Al año siguiente, 2009, le tocó el turno a un grupo más numeroso de alumnos (Victoria, Jenny, Sandra, Eva, Jasmine y Moa -de Suecia-, Leandro y Mariana -de Brasil-, Taku -de Japón-, Juan y Laura -de China-, Claire y Sophia -de Holanda-, Christoph y Claudia -de Alemania-, Sebastian -de Finlandia- y Nicholas -de Francia-) y a toda la plantilla de Málaga Sí (desde el director a la adminsitración y de los profesores al personal de atención al alumno) esta tarea. El tema que eligieron los estudiantes fue el de los momentos importantes de la Historia de España. La entrada del euro (enero), el intento de golpe de Estado del 23-F (febrero), el nacimiento de Goya (marzo), la muerte de Cervantes (abril), la legalización de la proyección de Viridiana (mayo), el triunfo de España en la Eurocopa de fútbol (junio), el cumpleaños de Fernando Alonso (julio), la llegada de Nadal al nº1 del ranking ATP (agosto), el cumpleaños de Julio Iglesias (septiembre), el descubrimiento de América (octubre), la muerte de Franco (noviembre) y el referéndum de la Constitución de 1978 (diciembre).

Este año, han sido los Reyes Magos quienes nos han traido el calendario anual como regalo. El tema de 2010 ha sido el de las comunidades autónomas. Tessa, Marielle, Charlotte, Michelle y Katja (Holanda), Lion, Matthias y Frank (Alemania), Baste (Noruega) y Daniel (Austria) han sido quienes han dado vida a los personajes, lugares, tradiciones y símbolos de Cataluña (Dalí y Gaudí), Asturias (los príncipes), Aragón (Los amantes de Teruel), Cantabria (las pinturas rupestres de Altamira), Andalucía (flamenco), Canarias y Baleares (el turismo y los alemanes), Comunidad Valenciana (la paella), Comunidad de Madrid (el Real Madrid), Castilla-León (la Universidad de Salamanca), Galicia (el Camino de Santiago), País Vasco (los aizkolaris), La Rioja (el vino tinto) y Castilla-La Mancha (Don Quijote). ¿Queréis ver más?

Esta noche llegan Sus Majestades los Reyes Magos de Oriente -Melchor, Gaspar y Baltasar- para dejar los regalos a los niños (y a los mayores) que han sido buenos… y un poco de carbón a los más malos

En España es  una tradición familiar muy importante y las familias se reúnen para recibir los regalos y se come (para desayunar y para merendar) el Roscón de Reyes.

Como mañana -6 de enero- es el Día de Reyes y la escuela estará cerrada hemos aprovechado hoy para invitar a los alumnos a probar este delicioso dulce y para que conozcan la tradición:

Esperamos que hayáis sido buenos este año y que esta noche los Reyes os traigan muchos regalos (y poco carbón). ¡Feliz 2010!
